——be meant for sth / be meant to be 注定是，注意区别 mean for sth针对某事和 mean to do诚信要做，故意要做。

——jump off where从什么跳下去
——be wound up意思很模糊也很灵活的一个词，原型是 wind up，是指卷起，卷起就是收工，引申为完结。而过去分词型的wound up是指被缠绕，被卷起，也就是被什么事情吸引，在这里是指很亢奋的状态。这里是说，你昨天很亢奋，但是我认为你只是在表达真实的你。（有些字幕里翻译成受伤，是错误的，请注意wound做受伤讲的时候，是名词，或者动词原形，过去式和过去分词是wounded）

4. You were in the alley below.
——below副词，在下面的,用的很生动，一下就知道这个场景是一个人站在高处，另一个人站在低处的巷子里。

5. 25 feet to a fire escape, I climbed up and carried you down. That's what happened. The rest is just crazy talk.
——注意的中文翻译有fire escape太平梯/ crazy talk胡说八道/ carry sb down用的很地道，不用take就是说是扛着一个人走的，有分量感。

6. -Well, I think it's time that I knew.
-Well, I have a few questions first，not the least of which is why now?
——knew 不是过去式，是一种虚拟语气。It is (high) time that 后面的从句谓语动词要用过去式或用should加动词原形，但should不可省略。
—— questions… not the least of which is 在这些问题中最重要的是

7.You know, I don't...mean this to be condescending. Even though you're gonna say I'm being condescending，but I really do believe that this is an adult decision.
——condescending故意屈尊，故意叫人领情的，这里指用恩赐的态度对待，也可以引申为高傲的, this is an adult decision这是大人的事情，可见高傲了吧

——indulge sb迁就某人，if you’ll indulge me, just do sth这句话可以作为范例收藏，用于劝说。（不希望孩子很快长大，是每个家长的愿望）

——infest群居于大批居住于（看起来你的底板里可能已经驻扎了一些蟑螂）

-Yeah, no argument there.
——很有个性的对话素材。

—— take a breather等于 take a little break，让我们先放松一下下吧。
