今天继续我们的故事，卡洛斯和莎拉开始了他们的第一次约会，约会时无疑发生了不少有趣的插曲，究竟是什么事让莎拉陷入难堪的处境呢？让我们一起进入今天的对话，共同找寻答案。

场景一

Carlos: Hi, guys!
卡洛斯:嗨,伙计们!

Johnny: Hello there! So? How did it go?
约翰尼:嗨!事情进行得如何?

Carlos:How did what go?
卡洛斯：什么事情进展得如何？

Fadi: Come on! Your date with Sara! How was it?
法迪:说嘛!你和莎拉约会的怎么样?

Johnny:Go on, give us details.
约翰尼：快点说啊，我们要听细节。
 

场景二

Carlos: "Black Box" it was called...
卡洛斯:在“黑盒子”约会的。

Johnny: Hmmm...Sounds more like a nightclub.
约翰尼:额…这个名字听起来更像是个夜总会。

Carlos: Well, it was at this new art gallery.
卡洛斯:这是一个新艺术画廊。

场景三

Carlos: There were quite a lot of people there, and everyone was really fashionable...
卡洛斯:那里有很多人，并且每个人都穿着的很时尚。

Carlos: Yeah...Everyone was wearing black! I felt really scruffy...
卡洛斯:是啊……每个人都穿着黑色的衣服。这让我感觉自己的穿着很不搭调。

Johnny: Scruffy?
约翰尼:穿着不搭调？

Fadi: Scruffy- badly dressed...
法迪:衣服搭配的很糟糕么...

场景四

Carlos: Then there were some big photographs on the walls...
卡洛斯:一些很大幅的画挂在墙上…

Johnny: So what was the art like?
约翰尼:这些画是什么流派的?

Carlos: Art? I didn't think it was art...There were some TVs showing some pictures of a man walking around an empty room...
卡洛斯:艺术吗?我并不认为这是艺术…还有一些画着一个人在空旷的屋子里走动的照片在用电视展示着…

场景五

Johnny: OK - I like photography...
约翰尼:这个不错啊。我喜欢摄影…

Carlos: Yeah, me too- but there were all blurred, out of focus -you couldn't see what they were potographs of...
卡洛斯:对啊,我也是——但你从这些照片中根本找不到重点，甚至你都看不出他们想通过这个照片来表达什么。

Carlos: ...So, I was trying to be interested, you know, to impress sarah really...
卡洛斯：但是...我试着让自己对这些照片感兴趣来给萨拉留下个好印象。

Fadi: Of course...
法迪:当然应该这样了…

场景六

Johnny: What was Sara doing?
约翰尼:萨拉在干什么呢?

Carlos: Well, Sara was talking to another man, so I went uo to them. Sara introduces me...And then he says "What do you think?" And I said "Well, I think the photographs are out of focus".
卡洛斯:我看到莎拉在和另外一个男人说话我就走过去了，然后萨拉把我介绍给了这个人。接着他就说:“这幅画你认为怎么样”我说“我觉得这些画没有重点”。

场景七

 

Fadi: Fair enough...
法迪:说的不错啊。

Carlos: But then the man, he gets really angry, and walk off...
卡洛斯:但是我刚说完那个人就变得很生气，然后走开了...

Johnny: Oh...
约翰尼:哦…

Carlos: And Sara looks really embarrassed...
卡洛斯:并且莎拉看起来好尴尬…

场景八

Fadi: Why?
法迪:为什么?

Carlos: It turns out, well, this man, he was the artist...
卡洛斯:原来这个人就是这幅画的作者...

ALL: Oh no...
大家:噢，真糟糕...
