Meet the new doppelganger.

The Vampire Diaries made its fifth appearance at Comic-Con on Saturday and once again brought along quite the teasing preview for their upcoming season, which we're already predicting will be owned by Paul Wesley, whose character Stefan was revealed to be Silas' doppelganger in the season four finale's last scene.

In the season five sneak peek that was shown during the panel, Wesley chews some major scenery as season five's big bad, Silas, who decides to test out just how strong he is by attempting to compel an entire town.

But it seems like Silas' reign as the show's big bad may be short-lived after Julie Plec hinted someone worse could be on the horizon.

As for romance scoop, Delena fans were happy to hear that Julie Plec and the writers plan to keep the fan favorite couple together and least for the time being.

Of course, fans were curious to know about Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline's (Candice Accola) romantic future now that Morgan is set to headline the spinoff The Originals. Could fans see Klaus make a return to Mystic Falls? "Never say never, I would say. He's going to have his hands full in New Orleans," Plec said. "The question is whether Caroline will have her hands full with Klaus in New Orleans."
