“比起真相，更多的时候，是谎言让世界的关系变的平和。很多情况下，谎言会缝合暂时的矛盾，会缓解人内心的不安和惶恐。因为真相的残酷和不便，所以大部分人想避开真相。传达真相，一直是让人痛苦的事情，所以我偶尔会在真相面前闭上眼睛。”

最近，众多的社会负面新闻占据着人们的视线，瓜贩之死，婴儿之死，各种贪污腐败……面对这些“真相”，你选择刻意地回避，还是早已麻木，抑或愤怒斥责之后立即转入另一个娱乐八卦？或者你也会像王文志记者（who?）一样，选择将更多“真相”揭露，以求问题得到解决？

话题：

面对越来越多的“真相”，面对世界并没有你想象的那么美好的“真相”，你会选择如何看待、对待它们？

范例1：

Referring to the truth, on no account can we ignore another truth that although new media can expose plenty of facts to us, what we have seen is still a drop in the ocean and more facts will be buried forever. It is human nature to expect and find truth; it is also human nature to fear and evade truth. In a way, I quite understand how those people feel, for this all-too-common response also applies to me perfectly. For a long time, I dare not open some websites to browse the social news and resign myself to addicting to all kinds of recreations.

However, I still choose to face up to facts, because truth brings ephemeral pain to us while lie brings eternal pain. Lies blind you with specious peace, which only leads to a fairly narrow outlook on life. It is the posture to facts not truth itself that makes a difference. Were there no truth, never would we talk about solving problems. As said by Lu Xun, “True warriors dare to look squarely to the gloomy life and are bold in facing up to the dripping blood.” The positive way to react to truth is to use it as a chance for growth. Not easy as it is, it’s a useful way to deal with an inevitable part of life.

范例2：

Recently, one may think that China is turning ugly as an astonishing number of scandals are appearing. In fact, a lot of social problems have long existed and only until recently have these “real facts” been exposed by enthusiastic journalists or citizens, which indeed does good to the social morality transformation. To have the facts revealed is the first step achieved to save social conscience. To bring the morality transformation to the next level, ordinary citizens should take outcry into action, so as to destroy corruption and protect their own rights. Before they react, they should make sure the fact they see is “truth”. Then publicize the scandal, condemn the evil and defend the innocent, through social network or media. To pursue truth through endless effort should be of everyone’s responsibility and duty.

Recently, we have witnessed piles of negative news from television, newspaper and the Internet, such as, the corruptions of senior officials, the sudden death of an infant and so on, which surprised the public and undoubtedly caused wide public anger. It is said by many that truth is what we speak highly of, however, people suffer a lot when facing those truths. Isn't it ironic? Personally speaking, the relationship between the truth and the lie is very tricky. In some circumstances, the lie is far better than the truth because lying can mitigate the conflict to some extent, whereas telling the truth would unfortunately intensify it, which is the last thing we want to see. Actually, nothing is absolute in the complex world. What matters is the balance between revealing the truth and covering the lie, which is the so-called the golden mean.

To us suburban creatures, reality seems to be less attractive in the violent contrast with lie. However, no matter how cruel the reality is, no matter how sweet the lies are, we should not quench a thirst with poison – replacing reality with lie.
Admittedly, lies lead us to a world full of charming and beautiful illusions, where we can temporarily forget all the worries and sadness with abandon. But gradually the world brings invisible fences, making us sheep merely expecting grass and water, completely forgetting the vast prairie. Finally, it is the advent of the death, asking for our skin and fur, that reminds us of the life we have lived. It is just like the story told by the heated anime Attack on Titan – the high walls give us human beings protection from man-eating titans, but it is the broken of them that let us have an opportunity to live a real and legendary life, and to see the vastness of the sea, the eruption of the volcano, and the brilliance of the polar lights, etc. – the real world we are living.
Reality may be sad and disappointing, but that is why we should face it, to change it, to make it better, and this is one of the greatest meanings in our life.
