Gearing up for the release of their new animated movie, the stars of the The Lorax descended upon Universal Studios Hollywood for the film’s orange carpet premiere earlier today.

Boasting quite the impressive cast of voices, co-stars Zac Efron and Taylor Swift were certainly fan favourites as they arrived to the event, greeting the line of spectators at the entrance prior to the Dr Seuss book based motion picture’s screening.

Also joining in on the premiere event were fellow castmates including Danny DeVito, Betty White and Ed Helms.

The Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda directed animated tale finds “a 12-year-old boy searching for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it, he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.”

The Lorax hits NZ cinemas on March 29.

《老雷斯的故事》的主人公是生活在森林世界中的一个矮矮胖胖的小人，人们都叫他“老雷斯”（Lorax），反派是一个名叫“老万”(Once- ler)的贪婪鬼，他肆意砍伐森林中的树木，用于制作一种叫做“Thneeds”的大家都需要的东西，以此来赚钱。为了保护森林，老雷斯多次找到老万替那些可怜的树木求情，但最终却无济于事。

泰勒·斯维芙特将为女主人公奥德丽配音；扎克·埃夫隆为男主人公泰德配音；丹尼·德维托为老雷斯配音；《宿醉》男星艾德·赫尔姆斯为老万配音；与老万沆瀣一气的财主“老欧”（O'Hare）由罗伯·里格尔配音；年近九旬的老牌女星贝蒂·怀特为泰德的祖母配音。 影片将于2012年3月2日在北美地区公映，并有望同步引进中国内地。
