International and Chinese news media were on hand to welcome the first group of celebrities for the Shanghai 2010 World Expo, now named the Expo Pandas (世博熊猫). The group arrived late in the afternoon on January 5 to some of Shanghai’s coldest weather this winter. Cool temperatures didn’t seem to faze the four male and six female pandas as they arrived from their home at the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve Center in Sichuan.
