 The trouble with white lions, it turnsout, is that as well as being fantastically rare, ridiculously furry and utterlybeautiful, they’re anti-social so-and-sos.
There’s only so long you can peer throughbinoculars at what could be an ear, or an eye, or perhaps a hint of tail andkeep saying to trusting children: ‘Wow! Is that really a white lion —one of only 300 in the world and historically a symbol of purity in theanimal kingdom?’
So after 20 minutes we gave up and wentin search of zebras, hippos, elephants and giraffes.
