Grant: Zack. Flowers for me? You shouldn’t have.
Zack: I didn’t. these are for my mom for mother’s day.
Grant: Oh, right.
Zack: But this is for you.

(the doorbell rings.)
Zack:(opens the door) Mrs. Parker!
Grant: Mom! What are you doing here?
Mom: I came to visit my favorite son.
Grant: I’m your only son. I guess you know about the election.
Mom: Yes, I saw it on TV.
Grant: I’m sorry I disappointed you.

Zack: Excuse me, Mrs Parker. Would you like something to drink?
Mom:Water would be great. Thanks, Zack.
(Zack goes to get water)
Mom: Grant, you didn’t disappointe me.
Grant: I didn’t?
Mom: No. I’m sorry about the election. I know you really wanted to win. But I’m proud of you for trying so hard.
(Zack comes back.)
Zack: Yeah, Grant, you did your best.
Grant: But my best wasn’t good enough.

Mom: Grant, your father and I often put a lot of pressure on you. I’m sorry.
Grant: You just want me to be successful.
Mom: Yes, but ,Grant, it’s ok to try something and fail. That’s how you learn.
Grant: I know. Thanks, mom.
Zack: Hey, Grant, maybe you should try out for that TV show.
Mom: What TV show?
Zack: Grant didn’t tell you about that?(laughs)Well,first,Grant was wearing this chicken costume…
