It has been a record year for China's rich. Despite ongoing difficulties in the global economy, China's wealthy have defied the challenges with another year of remarkable growth. Right now, the cut-off point to make the top one-thousand on the Hurun list jumped from 220 million US dollars last year to 310 million for 2011. It also revealed how China's construction explosion is showing few signs of slowing down. And there's little doubt that 55-year-old Liang Wen-gen's massive fortune will continue to grow, as heavy construction equipment is in strong demand this year. The company is also planning to go public in Hong Kong which will no doubt add to his 11 billion US dollar pot.
