On June 15, 1944 - London is shaken by V-1 rockets.
The V-1, or "Buzz Bomb" was [-----1-----]. The V-2, [-----2-----], was all the more deadly because it [-----3-----]. Adolf Hitler called both rockets his "revenge weapons", instead of directing them at Allied bases in northern Europe, he aimed them at civilian London. On June 15th, 1944, London was in shock following the first of a series of V-1 assaults. In the [-----4-----] months, more than 6,000 died while 75,000 buildings were destroyed. The more fierce V-2 struck later in September, shortly before Allied forces advanced far enough to destroy the Nazi missle bases.
