On June 10, 1980 - Nelson Mandela is released
“There are many people who feel that it is [-----1-----] for us to continue talking peace and non-violence.”
Police shootings like these in 1961 of [-----2-----] in South Africa caused Nelson Mandela and his African National Congress to lose patience with 50 years of non-violent protest. In 1964, Mandela was jailed for life, but his writings, [-----3-----] continued to spark others.

The International community offered tributes and support but still he remained in prison. Finally, after 26 years of protest, Nelson Mandela was unconditionally released.
