"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson is going from hunting bears as a vampire to hunting down Saddam Hussein. Deadline reports that the actor has signed on for the upcoming film, "Mission: Blacklist," the true-life story of military interrogator Eric Maddox, who spearheaded Hussein's capture on Dec. 13, 2003.

The script for the movie is based on Maddox's novel, "Mission: Black List #1." Erik Jendresen ("Band of Brothers") penned the adaptation, and Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire is set to direct.

"This movie is a gripping, edge of your seat thriller," Ross M. Dinerstein, one of the film's producers and managing partner of Preferred Content, says in a statement. "I have been inspired by Robert and Jean-Stéphane's dedication to tell this story in the most authentic way possible."
