Apple Software Engineer Died in Accident
苹果软件工程师车祸身亡

In September, Allen Haughay Jr., an Apple software engineer died while riding his horse to a neighbor’s party in Morgan Hill.
今年9月，苹果软件工程师Allen Haughay Jr. 骑马前往摩根山参加派对时遭遇车祸身亡。

Headed to a mariachi party at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday, September 10th, Haughay, 48, was on Hale Avenue in Morgan Hill when the truck hit him and his horse, vaulting him off the horse. He landed on a parked Ford.
9月10日，周六晚上大约八时二十分，48岁的Haughay正在去墨西哥流浪乐队派对的路上。到达摩根山霍尔大道时，他被一辆卡车撞离马匹，摔在路边停靠的一辆福特上。

Haughay suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Valley Medical Center by helicopter, where he was pronounced dead.

October 13, 2011 – After Steve Jobs, there is one more IT leaders who died, he was Dennis Ritchie, inventor of the famous C programming language.
继乔布斯之后，10月13日，另一位IT巨头，C语言的创始人，丹尼斯·里奇去世。

He also became part of a team at Bell Labs that developed the UNIX – the operating system that became the basis of Linux and Apple’s MacOS today.
里奇曾是贝尔实验室的一员，并发展了UNIX操作系统，该系统是现今主流的Linux和苹果MacOS系统的基础。

Dennis Ritchie has also been getting a number of international awards for his work including the Turing Award in 1983, the IEEE Richard W. Hamming Medal in 1990, and the National Medal of Technology in 1999.

Robert Galvin, who was Motorola's CEO for 29 years, was 89. He died at his Barrington Hills resident Tuesday night of natural causes.

He took the company with annual sales of $290 million in 1959 and turned it into a wireless pioneer with revenue of $10.8 billion in 1990.
加尔文把摩托罗拉从1959年的一个年销售额为两亿九千万美元的公司转变成为通讯界的先锋企业，年收入于1990年达到108亿美元。

“Without a doubt, the world lost one of the all-time greats,” Greg Brown, CEO of Motorola Solutions Inc., said in an interview.
