The Guo Meimei case has triggered a flood of questions. But now scrutiny is focused on the Red Cross of China, and how it runs its operations.

The Guo Meimei case has exploded. A torrent of questions have been raised and new evidence appears to be constantly emerging.

One online 'investigator' discovered that, though there's no Red Cross Commerce that is part of the Red Cross Society, it does have a department called Commerce System Red Cross of China. The netizen also revealed that Guo Meimei met the Chairman of the Board of the Tianlve group when she was an actor. The company has had links with Commerce System Red Cross of China since 2006. All these clues have convinced netizens that Guo Meimei does indeed some suspicious connection with the Red Cross Society of China.

However, Qiu Zhenliang, Chairman of the Tianlve group, denies all charges.

Qiu Zhenliang, Chairman of the Tianlve group, said, I don't know Guo Meimei and our company never hired anyone called Guo Meimei. Some netizens say there're photos of us together. I saw that photo, the guy is not me. You can compare them, we look very different.

Some questions go beyond the case. One netizen found out that, besides the Tianlve group, a further three companies are doing business with Commerce System Red Cross of China. It was uncovered that the general managers of these three companies are all relatives of the vice-head of Commerce System Red Cross of China.

Netizens have been left wondering, are these people profiting from the Red Cross? And are donations really going to those in need? Maybe the upcoming audit and investigation will answer some of these questions.
