Wang Yi, says the Taiwan Affairs Office will make greater efforts with the Taiwan authorities to open individual tours for mainland tourists.

Wang Yi said "We hope common ground can be reached by the cross-Straits tourism authorities, so individual tours of mainland tourists visiting Taiwan can be kicked off as soon as possible."

Wang expects these tours to Taiwan to begin in the first half of 2011.
