The bottom line
Young people shouldn't work. Actually they already have a full-time job - focusing on their studies. Getting into a good university should be their foremost focus even if it means going to a cram school or hiring a tutor.

Resume worthy?
Starting to building a resume with part-time job experience is hardly worthwhile. Why? Because the part-time jobs available to young people don't necessarily provide valuable work experience anyway. Entry-level jobs like stocking shelves or sweeping floors don't require the use of critical thinking skills. In light of this,part-time jobs are like spinning wheels: there's action but no movement forward.

Don't steal children's childhoods
Statistically, adults spend half their lives working, so why rush our children into it? If at all possible, young people shouldn't work. Rather, they should be free from the burdens of adult life for as long as possible. Adolescence should be a time of exploration and discovery, not punching in and out on a time clock. Teens who wish to do something outside of school should be encouraged to participate in athletics, music or opportunities with community and religious organizations. There will be plenty of time to work later.

Now, what's your viewpoint?
