考生应该先看文章后的题目，分析定位词，并用笔标出以加深印象；把文章通读一遍，注意每段的中心句或中心思想，留心题目当中标出的信息，但不要在阅读过程中停下来去考虑单词、词组或句子的意思，懂不懂都要一律跳过；在做题时，要注意对比题目和文章当中相应信息在表述方式上的不同，要特别注意两者在用词上的区别--考的往往就是这个词。
【试题精讲】
1． 【答案】N
【解析】考生首先要根据定位词 "Plans for 2004" 找到文章的第1段第2句。 "In fact, one in four workers is dissatisfied with their current job, according to the recent Plans for 2004 survey." 题干中的most与原文one in four显然不符，故答案为N。
2． 【答案】Y
【解析】题目中的定位词Mary Lyn Miller 可以在原文第2段首句找到。"Mary Lyn Miller, veteran career consultant and founder of the Life and Career Clinic..." 题目中的advise与原文consultant对应，故答案为Y。
3． 【答案】NG
【解析】根据定位词Mary Lyn Miller找到文章第2段。首句提到 "...says that when most people are unhappy about their work..."和尾句的 "...she has helped thousands of dissatisfied workers reassess life and work."均未涉及她本人对自己工作的感想，故答案为NG。
