据省地震局初步统计，雅安芦山地震已伤亡上百人。据人民日报报道，目前确认死亡28人。

据中国地震台网测定，北京时间2013年4月20日8时2分，在四川省雅安市芦山县( 北纬30.3, 东经103.0 )发生7.0级地震， 震源深度13公里。当地震感强烈，余震不断，武警雅安市支队官兵已紧急赶赴震区救援。当地一名居民称县城震感比08年的5.12地震要强。

CHENGDU - A 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Southwest China's Sichuan province on 8:02 am Saturday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 13 km, was monitored at 30.3 degrees north latitude and 103.0 degrees east longitude.

Residents in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan, and Leshan felt the earthquake.
