Neil Patrick Harris and fiance David Burtka will get married now that the Supreme Court has struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) as unconstitutional.

Harris confirmed he and his partner will wed while speaking with E! News at the opening of Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas Saturday night. Although no date has been set, marriage is "inevitable" for the couple who has been engaged for seven years.

"Certainly, we have children and marriage is an appropriate thing to do as a part of their well being, so I'm sure it will be inevitable—and awesome!" he said.

The actor only publicly announced his engagement to Burtka back in 2011, when New York legalized same-sex marriage. But the two first got engaged five years prior to that. They are parents to fraternal twins, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, born via surrogate in 2010.

As for the DOMA ruling, the 40-year-old figured it was only a matter of time.

"I'm not one who jumps around and cheers and screams because I thought that was inevitable and was going to happen," he told E!. "It's logical. If you look at public opinion polls, everyone, the majority of people, are very for people that fall in love with each other being able to own that."
