But he says President Barack Obama must agree to negotiate over ending the partial government shutdown and reducing budget deficit. Obama has insisted the shutdown be ended immediately with no conditions.
 
A tractor-trailer stuck on tracks in west Texas was struck by a train that dragged it by half-mile before coming to a stop. The driver of the rig got out just minutes before the train struck in midland. No one was hurt.
 
In a new report, Ohio officials suggested it is possible Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro may have died of autoerotic asphyxiation, not suicide as originally thought. A report from the Ohio Department Rehabilitation and Correction also says Castro did not leave a suicide note and multiple levels of assessment did not find a tendency toward suicide.
 
And instead of a dog, volunteer fire fighters in Tuscaloosa, Alabama have a spotted Dalmatian chicken as their mascot. She is the 3rd generation. Her grandfather named Allen Junior, previously helped the department raised nearly 10,000 dollars.
