People are gathering nationwide at rallies to press for federal civil rights charges against the former neighborhood watch leader. The rallies come one week after a jury found George Zimmerman not guilty in the death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin. The Reverend Al Sharpton organized the rallies outside federal buildings in at least 101 cities. 
 
Longtime White House correspondent Helen Thomas has died. A friend says Thomas died today at her apartment in Washington, days after being released from a hospital. She was 92. 
 
Crowds of tourists are gathering outside Saint Mary's Hospital in London where Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is planning to give birth. The development came after reports said Kate had left her parents' home outside London and moved to Kensington Palace, a short drive from Saint Mary's. 
 
Chris Froome has effectively wrapped up a Tour de France victory, putting himself in position to become Britain's second successive champion after Bradley Wiggins. Froome retained his big race lead in the penultimate stage before Sunday's processional run-in to Paris.
