Supporters of gay marriage are celebrating two Supreme Court decisions today. One struck down a provision of a federal law denying federal benefits to married gay couples. The other cleared the way for the resumption of same-sex marriage in California.
 
Police have charged Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez with murder and weapons counts. The charges come in connection with the slaying of a semi-pro football player whose body was found in an industrial park about a mile from Hernandez’s home.
 
A friend of Trayvon Martin who was on the phone with him moments before he was fatally shot testified Wednesday. She says Martin described George Zimmerman, the man on trial for the teen's murder as creepy.
