A strong tornado hit the Italian region close to Bologna. Italian media report 11 people were injured and several houses were damaged. The governor has to declare a state of emergency. 
 
And dozens of gerbils are gathering in Massachusetts to strut their stuff during this annual pageant. The American Gerbil Society president says the little rodents are judged on body type and their color.
