We have so many reasons to fall in love with snow boots, explaining why the boots are a hot sale now. As imported snow boots, such as UGG, usually cost more than one thousand Yuan, many people choose to buy the fake ones. Here is a shop owner who sells imitation snow boots.

"I can sell dozens of snow boots everyday now. They are often in short supply. Most of my customers are youngsters, like students and office ladies."

However, recently a British doctor claimed that wearing snow boots, especially the shoddy ones, may lead to foot deformity. Is this real? Doctor Yang Maowei from China Medical University explains.

"Now everyday I have two or three patients whose ankles hurts after wearing snow boots. Most of them have a history of ankle injuries or flat feet. As snow boots have soft and flat soles, they are not suitable to be worn for long time. And those fake snow boots with bad qualities don't have the reinforcement design around the ankle part, which would cause even more serious damage."

Yang Maowei suggest those who have a history of ankle injuries or flat feet not to wear snow boots. For the people who don't have such problems, they'd better choose snow boots of fine qualities for the sake of health. Ms Wang is an expert in the field. She tells us about the measurements.

"A pair of good snow boots is made of real twin-faced sheepskin with fleece on the inside and with a tanned outer surface. It's very soft and warm, which can keep your feet in an invariable temperature of 30C. The soles of good snow boots are made of special material and the angle of the uppers are carefully designed. You can find none of these in inferior snow boots."

Last year, most of the snow boots had simple and plain designs. This year there are some changes.

1) 毛线编织雪地靴. 复杂的螺纹设计, 不同颜色的拼接都是在去年比较少见的. Snow boots knitted by colorful wools or with jacquard patterns are very popular this year.

2) 机车款雪地靴. 搭扣, 绑带和铆钉设计增加了一份硬朗的感觉. Metal clasps, shoe laces and rivets make snow boots more boyish.

3) 民族风雪地靴. 带有异域风的纹样, 流苏和卷羊毛装饰十分吸引眼球. Exotic patterns, fringes and curly wool decoration are eye-catching as well.

Though snow boots can go with various clothes, girls who don't have high and thin statures should avoid wearing them with jeans, as that makes them look shorter. As snow boots are made of fur, they get dirty and deform easily. So experts suggest girls buy special spray to protect the boots and send them to professional show-care shops after the winter is over.
