President Barack Obama has a message for Republicans who say they’ll try to repeal his health care overhaul: “Go for it”. Speaking at the University of Iowa, Obama says those who try to overturn the sweeping changes will have to face voters who see immediate benefits from the law.

Republicans say it’s not just the Democrats who have been the targets of threats and vandalism since the passage of health care overhaul. House Republican Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia says someone shot a bullet through a window of his campaign office in Richmond and that he’s received threatening email.

The Vatican says there was no cover-up in the church’s handling of the case of a priest accused of molesting some 200 deaf boys at a school near Milwaukee. According to church and Vatican documents, the Vatican ordered a stop to a church trial of the accused priest.

A dog that attacked a police cruiser earlier this month is out of the dog house. A Tennessee judge says Winston can leave the shelter on good behavior. Dash-cam video caught Winston relentlessly attacking the front bumper of a cop car.
