More importantly, nothing could beat word of mouth. The restaurant could gain a reputation very quickly if customers spread a few good words to others, giving the place a good review. Hodge was therefore working the floor, to get to know customers and to build a rapport with them, finding out their likes and dislikes. After he had made his rounds, he checked the time; it was the time of the appointment.
