世博网5月28日消息：27日下午，上海市育民中学校园内彩旗飘扬，鼓声阵阵。在全体师生热烈的期盼中，学校迎来了上海世博会吉祥物“海宝”。

在“海宝”揭幕仪式上，学生代表表示，要努力学文化、学知识、学礼仪，从身边的小事做起，积极行动，迎接世博、奉献世博。

活动现场，师生们一起在“世博文明公约”横幅上签名承诺，并在“我的世博心愿卡”上放飞祝福。

“海宝”的到来，让师生们欣喜不已，有的同学用手抚摸“海宝”、用脸亲近“海宝”，有的同学张开双臂拥抱“海宝”，有的同学争相和“海宝”合影，现场气氛非常热烈。

据悉，这是本市首次在中学举行“海宝”揭幕仪式。育民中学“海宝”摆放使浦东高桥地区出现了“海宝”的身姿。

Students and teachers of Shanghai Yumin Middle School were glad to meet the new comer yesterday — World Expo 2010 mascot Haibao.

For the first time, Haibao enters a middle school in Shanghai and made his debut in Gaoqiao Town, Pudong New Area, where the campus is located.

The statue of Haibao received a hearty welcome at the unveiling ceremony at the campus. Students could hardly wait to touch the statue and took photos with it. Some students gave Haibao a bear hug.

The students also wrote down their wishes on specially made expo cards and signed on the banner of “Expo Civilization Rules.”
