全国政协委员、新希望集团董事长刘永好表示，他今年带来了 8 个与农业相关的提案，8 个提案中，他重点介绍了一种可以在中国广大农村实行的新的金融模式。刘永好认为，现在有近两千多万的农民工回乡，希望能为他们找到更好的出路。

Farmer-turned-entrepreneur Liu Yonghao, founder and chairman of the New Hope Group, cited the number of the migrant workers who recently lost their jobs - an estimated 20 million in all.

"They are not just 20 million individuals," he said. "They may represent about 15 million families."

农民企业家、新希望集团创始人及董事长刘永好引用近 2 千万的失业农民工总数说：“他们不只是 2 千万个个人，他们可能代表着 1500 万个家庭。”

这里的 Farmer-turned-entrepreneur 从字面上看就是“农民变身的企业家”，指的是那些出身农民，经过自己的努力奋斗最终成为自营企业掌门的企业家，即“农民企业家”。一般来说，“农民企业家”都属于“民营企业家（private entrepreneur）”。

Entrepreneur 这个词其实是法语词，指“企业家，主办人，承包人” 等，entrepreneur spirit 则表示“事业心”之意，如：A person with entrepreneurship is often filled with entrepreneur spirit.（企业家通常都很有事业心。）
