Rebuilding trust is never a simple task, especially when the issue crumped on Chinese’s already fragile nerves. When Chinese are blaming domestic dairy products for bad quality by comparing them with overseas ones, the seemingly moral highland collapsed without struggle. Successful crisis management may alleviate consumers’ pain, but the trauma caused by repetitive fraud which will probably result in a generation’s imperfect physical and mental development, can hardly be eradicated by some superficial speaking tactics. The true horror of these worldly and cruel tricks is that immoral firms’ price advantage can easily kick away those good firms and that even good firms can undergo such vicious competition, what is waiting for them is consumers’ disappointment for the whole industry resulted from a handful of bad firms. Consumers do not beg for big corporations’ apology; they are looking forward to a day when free choices of quality products aren’t luxurious, which can be achieved by a set of effective and pragmatic supervision equal for both home and overseas products.
