Hostess: so in the UK, some people will go to college, some people will go to work?
Dominic: not everyone want to go to college, some won’t carry on education until 16, so it depends on what you want to do.

Hostess: so you would think the college is useless and maybe you want to carry on afterwards?
Dominic: if you want to know more about the subject or you want to learn more, you could go to college. College is academic. You choose to go to college; you don’t have to go to college.

Hostess: you can get a job easily even without going to college?
Josh: if you went to work in physic, you need a degree. There are certain areas; works that exists in the UK you don’t need a degree at all. Subjects you don’t use your brain but your body, such like buildings, generally acquire a degree. In a lot more cases, people won’t think three years experiences are more important than three years getting a degree. So it depends.

Hostess: it’s the Olympic time in China, have you watched a lot of games?
Dominic: oh, yes, we saw a lot of games. The Chinese TV stations are all focused on Chinese, we see Chinese winning all the time. I think I saw one or two England man won which I was quite happy about.
Josh: we watched the Olympic football match in Shanghai stadium.

Hostess: the next Olympic Games will be held in London, how much UK people think about the Olympics?
Josh: I think it’s different. In the UK is less national pride, people don’t look at that country as Chinese people do, people won’t as excited as Chinese people were.

Hostess: what do you think of the opening ceremony?
Dominic: it’s brilliant. I saw the opening ceremony; I was watching it I think all the London Olympic Group will be crying in their seats, they will never match.
Josh: all the English people watching the ceremony said we can’t be there.

Hostess: some UK people they don’t satisfied about the eight minutes in the close ceremony…
Josh: it’s almost like trying too hard and failed it.
Dominic: David Beckham shouldn’t be there. Some one who works and lives in American should not be there.
Josh: David didn’t live in England, he lives in America. I mean, he is an English person but lives in America.

Hostess: have you taught some English to Chinese?
Dominic: yes, we taught English lessons. Mostly we talked about England, because they keep asking what were doing in England, what it was like in England and how things work.
Josh: we learn some Chinese songs. Every class got a different songs, my class got The Moon Represent My Heart which is apparently a very famous Chinese song.

Hostess: would you speak a little Chinese now?
Dominic: I can speak enough Chinese to get me into trouble.
Josh: the conversation is impossible but we can communicate on very basic level.
Dominic: I can understand most what the people say cause the words are in my mind, but I can’t say it.
