Simon Helberg is an American actor, and was born on December 9, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. Helberg is best known as wannabe ladies man Howard Wolowitz on the hit CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory. Previously, he had appeared in a short stint on the sketch show MadTV, and in a recurring role on the short-lived Friends spin-off Joey. Helberg was also a prominent part of the popular Joss Whedon web series Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Other notable credits include the films Van Wilder, Old School, Good Night and Good Luck, Evan Almighty, Walk Hard, and A Serious Man. Simon's TV guest credits include Son Of The Beach, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Reno 911, Arrested Development, and Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.
