Ireland, a country steeped in fairy tales and legends, has attracted many to its shores with promises of beauty and mystery. Yet no Irish region has captured the imagination like Ireland's WestCoast with its storytbook villages, dramatic cliffs and rugged coastline The area possesses an unchanging quality not found in other parts of the Emerald Isle.

Galway-Ireland's art capital
Galway, said to be Europe's fastest growing city, lies on the Bay of Galway. This university town is known as Ireland's capital of the arts, and artists from all over the world flock here. The artists participate in the city's numerous art festivals and get inspiration from the local scenery.

"A timeless land in an endless sea"
Galway is the gateway to the west and a great jumping-off place to the Aran Islands. The largest island, Inishmore is home to Dun Aonghasa, a 2,500-year-old stone fort set on 300-foot cliffs.
Time has stood still on these three islands 48 kilometers off the coast of Galway. Their isolation has enabled the traditional Irish language and culture to survive undisturbed.
