Norwegian police say a gunman fired at young people on an island retreat for and hour and a half before surrendering to police. Police say he has admitted firing weapons on the island. He’s also linked to a car bombing in Oslo. More than 90 people are dead.

Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London. The 27-year-old singer has battled drug and alcohol addiction, but the cause of her death isn't known.

The White House says President Barack Obama won't accept a short-term extension of the nation's debt limit. Obama met with Congressional leaders at the White House for about an hour Saturday.

China’s state media says nearly three dozen people died when a bullet train lost power after being struck by lightning. It was then hit from behind by another train. Two train cars were knocked off a bridge.
