Audra Lowe: Alright, we’ve got a few secrets for you guys out there if you’re looking for ways to do things like highlight your hair, hydrate your skin or even diminish wrinkles without spending an arm and a leg and a lot of people want to do that. Beauty expert, Kevin Gatto’s here. He is sharing his best Kev natural beauty tips they says are going to save you fortune. And I really mean, hopefully we are saving a fortune, right?

Kevin Gatto: We are, you know, this economy is actually kind of a good side here because we’re learning to save money, be more creative and how to we use things around the house. And—

Audra Lowe: Exactly.

Kevin Gatto: I love my products but there are so many ways you can go in the beauty section to find some great things in the store.

Audra Lowe: You’re being honest. You’re helping us out.

Kevin Gatto: Being honest, helping you guys out.

Audra Lowe: The first thing that you have over here is apple cider vinegar and what is that good for?

Kevin Gatto: It’s a great detox for the hair. So, you know, the more styling product that you use and you know environmental damage and pollutions in the air. Apple cider vinegar will get rid of all that. It’ll detoxify the hair or exfoliate all that off the hair.

Audra Lowe: So what do you do?

Kevin Gatto: You use it in the shower, use it alone, you put it on before you shampoo and you just work it in you know in the shampoo or in the shower, work it in, leave it in a couple of minutes and just rinse and shampoo and conditioner is normal. That’s great!

Audra Lowe: And then you’ve got chamomile tea here and that is also for the hair.

Kevin Gatto: Chamomile tea is great for women with highlights you know whether you’re super blond or brown with a few highlights and you make yourself a nice refreshing cup of tea, save the tea bag and then use the juice from that tea bag and put it on your hair, in the shower, just kind of squeeze that tea bag on to your hair, comb it through with the comb and the acidity of the chamomile is going to break enough your highlights and refresh your color without damaging the colors.

Audra Lowe: That’s interesting and then last for awhile.

Kevin Gatto: It will last you know about a week or so and then go right back and do the chamomile tea again.

Audra Lowe: So you stretch it out a little bit.

Kevin Gatto: Stretch it out.

Audra Lowe: And then you’ve got cinnamon here which I have no idea and this is for plumping?

Kevin Gatto: This is amazing because everyone wants to be Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox.

So cinnamon, it reacts with your blood vessels when you put the oil and you just take a little bit with your finger, put it right on your mouth and it will react with the blood vessels and then it will give you a little plumping action to your hair.

Audra Lowe: You’re kidding.

Kevin Gatto: It’s not permanent, it may last a couple of hours but if you’re going out in a hot date and you’re going to look that you’re sexy and those nice full lips and a little cinnamon oil and you can get it in your baking section, it’s $0.99.

Audra Lowe: Are we going to have Angelina Jolie lips or we’re going to have Lisa Rinna lips by the time.

Kevin Gatto: Angelina Jolie because we’re not injecting the cinnamon oil.

Audra Lowe: Okay. Now you’ve got the wine here.

Kevin Gatto: Wine.

Audra Lowe: And we’re getting the wine in the bath tub and having a nice drink but this is a little different.

Kevin Gatto: Well, wine is great because the flavonoids in it actually help soften fine lines, you can have at your bath tub a couple of teaspoons and you can just take a makeup brush and apply the wine right to where you have the fine lines—I suggest using white wine for the skin on the face and also in the body you want to find you know, reduce wrinkling, use the red wine, it’s a little bit stronger.

Audra Lowe: And this is also—pineapple is also good for fine lines too.

Kevin Gatto: It has so many benefits and no one even know about and the biggest thing is it’s healing and moisturizing but it’s antifungal so it helps reduce infection and what a lot of medical hospitals are realizing, if you use it on a burn victim, it actually helps to heal the burn faster because of those antifungal properties and the natural healing and it goes right in.

Even if you have a little crack on your skin, you can use a pineapple, put it in, it will dissipate right into the skin and it won’t feel sticky or tacky right in.

Audra Lowe: A lot of uses for pineapple, that’s why I like.

Kevin Gatto: It’s amazing and you love multiple uses for products.

Audra Lowe: We do and this is—speaking with multiple uses here, we’re going into have an exfoliating moment with the sweetener, right?

Kevin Gatto: Yeah, there are a million things you can use as in that home exfoliate you know rock salt, coffee grinds. Brown sugar is actually the best because it’s a fined grind and it has been—so it’s a little softer on the skin so it helps hydrate as well as exfoliate and you can use it straight just right out of the bag and use it in your face, you can use it on your chest you know just like the thigh area of the woman to refresh.

Audra Lowe: Can you mix it with the honey?

Kevin Gatto: And then to make a nice mass, you want to leave in for about five or ten minutes, you take some of the brown sugar and you put it right in and you mix it up and the honey is great because the honey have so many benefits to it. We’re talking antifungal, we’re talking antioxidant, so it’s fighting against all the free radicals that are constantly attacking your skin to make it look old.

Audra Lowe: And then you can make cookies afterwards too.

Kevin Gatto: Absolutely and it’s edible and we love that.

Audra Lowe: Thank you so much Kevin, this is really interesting. I learned a lot today.

Kevin Gatto: Okay.

Audra Lowe: Alright, come back again soon.

Kevin Gatto: Anytime.

Audra Lowe: Alright.
