披萨中的披萨:玛格丽特披萨

意大利的披萨千变万化,但玛格丽特披萨的地位却不一般,它甚至被视为意大利的国菜。

因为它的颜色正是意大利国旗的颜色:绿、白、红。

绿色是新鲜的罗勒叶,白色是马苏里拉芝士,红色是番茄泥,这款披萨虽然简单,但却是意大利风味之魂。

Pizza Margherita (more commonly known in English as Margherita pizza) is a typical Neapolitan pizza, made with San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, salt and extra-virgin olive oil. A widespread belief says that in June 1889 the pizzaiolo Raffaele Esposito, Pizzeria Brandi's chef, invented a dish called "Pizza Margherita" in honor of the Queen of Italy, Margherita of Savoy, and the Italian unification, since toppings are tomato (red), mozzarella (white) and basil (green), representing the same colors of the national flag of Italy. The flag is vertically divided into three equal sections of green, white, and red, representing hope, faith, and charity.
玛格丽特披萨是一种典型的那不勒斯披萨,由圣马萨诺西红柿、马苏里拉奶酪、新鲜罗勒、盐和特级初榨橄榄油制成。普遍认为,1889年6月,布兰迪比萨饼店的厨师拉斐尔·埃斯波西托发明了这种名为玛格丽特披萨的菜,以纪念意大利女王萨沃伊玛格丽特一集意大利的统一;这么做的原因是,这道菜的浇头是番茄(红色)、马苏里拉芝士(白色)和罗勒(绿色),这是代表意大利国旗的颜色。意大利国旗在垂直方向上分为绿色、白色和红色三个部分,分别代表希望、信念和慈善。
