Hundreds of people on both sides of a controversy over a proposed mosque and community center near Ground Zero rallied Sunday. The crowd of demonstrators against the project stood behind police barricades, three blocks from the World Trade Center site. Nearby, several hundred people who support the mosque chanted, “Muslims are welcome here!” “We say no to racist fear!”

A huge fire burned an abandoned industrial complex in Boston. No one was hurt in the blaze, which firefighters said is bigger than any they had seen in 20 to 30 years. 160 firefighters fought the flames.

Hip-hop singer Wyclef Jean says he is not abandoning his presidential bid just yet. He'll send a lawyer to a Haitian court to appeal a decision rejecting his candidacy. The court ruled him ineligible Friday night.

150 women wore wedding dresses to help raise money for a sick 5-year-old boy. The event is held each year in Poland, this year it helped a boy with epilepsy, autism and heart and kidney defects.
