On July 1, 1981, A lost Mozart Symphony makes its debut in Munich, Germany.
In the city of Munich, Germany, the discovery of a hitherto unknown symphony by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart stirred much excitement in musical circles around the world. Researchers confirmed that Mozart's signature on the composition was authentic and that he wrote it at the ripe old age of 9. In fact, Mozart began composing before he was 5 and wrote the first of his almost 50 symphonies when he was 9. Ironically, a slightly earlier symphony in the key of A minor was unveiled and authenticated in 1983, two years after the Symphony in F made debuts in Munich, New York and Washington DC in early July, 1981.
