6.恐高症acrophobia

e.g. Bill is acrophobic, so he avoided standing near the window of the conference room on the 80th floor of the skyscraper.
比尔怕高,所以在摩天大厦80楼的会议室,他尽量不往靠窗的地方站

e.g.She has acrophobia and always becomes dizzy in a high-rise elevator.
她有恐高症,到了高楼的电梯里就发晕。

e.g.She had a self-confessed fear of heights, so we shouldn't have made her go up to the top.
她自己承认有恐高症,所以我们本不该让她到顶上来。

7.小丑恐惧症Coulrophobia
e.g. French police have arrested several young people behaving violently dressed as clowns. And the protesters are beginning to resent and detest it.

8.黑暗恐惧症achluophobia

e.g. The achluophobia is a common fear or phobia among children and, to a varying degree, of adults. Fear of the dark is usually not fear of darkness itself, but fear of possible or imagined dangers concealed by darkness.

9.幽闭恐惧症claustrophobia

10.恐惧镜子Spectrophobia

e.g. A spooky silhouette glimpsed out of the corner of your eye as you’re checking your hair will give anyone the creeps, but imagine being scared of even your own reflection.

dare to: 敢于
e.g. If the enemy dare to invade us, we'll deal them head-on blows.
