上一次的英国美食之旅我们前往了苏格兰的北部靠海地区,欣赏了大虾、扇贝、酥饼、牡蛎、三文鱼、蜂蜜等苏格兰特有的美食。那今天的UK美食之旅第二站就要去到苏格兰的中部地区,去看看那里有什么好吃的~

Scotland is very famous for many things but one of the things that stand out for visitors is the country’s delicacies that are known the world over.

Scotland

There are many unique food in the middle of Scotland, raspberries, Cumberland Sausage, Brown Ales and some other delicious food.
苏格兰中部地区有许多美食,山莓,坎伯兰香肠,黄啤等都是苏格兰中部特有的食物。

Raspberries

Raspberries are grown for the fresh fruit market and for commercial processing into individually quick frozen fruit, purée, juice, or as dried fruit used in a variety of grocery products. Traditionally, raspberries were a mid-summer crop, but with new technology, cultivars, and transportation, they can now be obtained year-round.
山莓一般有两种市场,一种是新鲜的山莓,另一种是作为速冻水果,水果泥,果汁或者是干果,运用在多种商品中。一般情况下,山莓都是夏季水果,但如今,在新科技、品种、运输的支持下,成为了全年收获的水果。

Brown Ales

Brown ale is a style of beer with a dark amber or brown colour. The term was first used by London brewers in the late 17th century to describe their products, such as mild ale, though the term had a rather different meaning than it does today.
黄啤是略带深琥珀色,或者棕色的啤酒。这个词最早是在17世纪晚期伦敦啤酒商用来描述他们产品的词,比如说柔和艾尔这次词,虽然今天,这个词与以前有了一个截然不同的意义了。

Kippers

A kipper is a whole herring, a small, oily fish, that has been split from tail to head, gutted, salted or pickled, and cold smoked.
熏鱼是一整条去头去尾的鲱鱼,内脏等已经被清理干净,用烟熏制过。

Cumberland Sausage

Cumberland sausage is a form of sausage that originated in the ancient county of Cumberland, England, now part of Cumbria. They are traditionally very long (up to 50 cm), and sold rolled in a flat, circular coil but within western Cumbria they are more often served in long curved lengths.
坎伯兰是香肠的一种形式,起源于古代坎伯兰城,今英格兰的一部分,坎布里亚郡。传统的坎伯兰香肠全长50厘米。一般它都以长卷的造型置于盘中,而今的坎伯兰香肠常被西坎伯兰人以一种更易于卷曲的长度制作。
