Late this evening,

I got a ride to the local grocery store.

After loading up my cart

and checking out,

my phone dies

right as I'm about to confirm my uber.

No portable charger on me

 (none sold in the grocery store) ,
杂货店里也没有卖的

no friends nearby,
没有朋友在我身旁

I don't know the way back
我甚至不知道回去的路

and even if I did

walking alone,
独自回去

at night,
在这样的深夜

as a female,
一个女人

is not a good idea
这可不是什么好主意。

I of course had a panic attack.

So this post is a thank you to Kameron,

A store employee
他是店里的一个店员

who asked me what was wrong,
问我是不是遇到了什么问题

was super friendly,
态度特别友好

found a charger,
为我找到了充电器

and charged my phone.
帮我手机充了电

He helped me
他帮助了我

when no one else would,
当其他人漠不关心的时候

and by doing so
而且多亏他的帮助

got me home safe and sound.
我安全的回到了家里
