Subject: Negotiation between Lenovo and IBM

Today, Lenovo and IBM had a negotiation in Diaoyutai State Guest house. The participants in the negotiation are the managers of Sales Department, Human Resources Department and Marketing Department of the two companies.
They talked about the potential of the two companies in the field of high-tech computer products and the possibility of establishing a branch company of IBM in China. On the first problem, the two sides achieved agreement: IBM will provide the most advanced technology while Lenovo will take care of marketing and customer service.
However, on the second problem, the two sides did not reach any merit. Therefore, on Dec. 20, 2004, the two sides will hold a second of negotiation on this issue.

From the graph, we can see that there were two peaks of accidents 2007. One was in March with the number of 35. The other was in with the number of 42, which was the highest point of the distribution. From August on, the number of car accidents had been decreasing reached the lowest point of the year in December.
There were several possible reasons for the distribution of car accidents. First, weather might have played an important role. Two peaks occurred in spring and summer, the two seasons which had most of the year’s rain. Driving tends to be more dangerous in rainy days. Second, people might been alerted by the high number of accidents in March and August, less and less accidents in later months.
