You know what we're talking about. When you check your bank account and all you see is £20 left to last you five days, and basically causing you to regret
every purchase you made over the last month.
So what did you spend all your hard-earned money on? We have a few ideas…
Let's just get this out-of-the-way first. At least half of your wage has gone on your place and that is always a pretty tough blow.
You keep meaning to get that cute lunchbox out for a homemade sandwich, but every morning you ditch
it in favour of a quick and easy shop-bought sarnie
3. Post-work drinks
You've had a stressful day so you get a drink to unwind
and forget just how many you've had before you get the last train home. And let's not pretend this doesn't get repeated pretty often.
4. You shop when you're hungry
Studies have shown that we buy more food when we hit the supermarket on an empty stomach, so make sure your tummy
is prepared before your next trip.
5. Broken phone
Mobile phone – How many times have you cracked your screen now? Shelling out to get it fixed is becoming more frequent for you so make sure you have mobile phone insurance or accidental damage and personal belongings cover on your home insurance.
6. Sales shopping
Yeah you might be getting a pair of jeans half price, but what about the other five sale items you definitely don't need?
7. On brand
shopping on a basic budget is not doing your bank account any favours.
Nowadays a trip to the movies could set you back at least £30 – because you can't see a flick
without popcorn or pick 'n' mix, can you?
9. The gym
Be realistic guys, how often are you actually going to justify that money coming out each month?
10. Credit card bills
It's not free money guys, no matter what they tell you.
