首先把今天要学习的词汇仔细的看一遍：（没有中文意思）

第二步：
我们来看这些词汇中孤立的名词：
1）cat
n.猫，猫科，猫皮
例句：A cat has nine lives.
猫有九命。
Lions and leopards are some of the big cats.
狮子和豹子是猫科动物
2）cattle
n.牛
例句：The cattle are in the shed.
牛在牛棚里。
3）ceremony
n.典礼，仪式；礼节
例句：What the old headmaster said at the graduation ceremony dwells

in my mind.
老校长在毕业典礼上讲的话一直留在我的脑海里。
4）chain
n.链，链条，项圈
例句：The severely sentenced prisoners' chains clanked as they

walked.
被判重刑的囚犯们行走时,铁链当啷作响
5）cave
n.山洞，洞穴，窑洞
例句：Dunhuang Caves
敦煌石窟

第三步：
我们来看着中文意思对出相应的英文单词：
a.偶然的；随便的
vi.&vi.&n.停止，停息
ad.一定，必定；当然
n.中心；中枢 vt.集中
n.地窑，地下室

从这个里面来选择哦：
casual

certainty
certainly

我们来看哦：
a.偶然的；随便的 casual
vi.&vi.&n.停止，停息 cease
ad.一定，必定；当然 certainly
n.中心；中枢 vt.集中 centre

第四步：
我们来看这些词汇中的联系，分成了几个类别：

第一组：
1）category
n.种类，类目；范畴
例句：There are different categories of books in a library.
图书馆里有各种不同种类的书籍。
2）catalogue
vt.为…编目录

我们看联系：category 指种类，那么cate+logue就是指为书编目录，为的是分

出种类，类似的词汇dia+logue=dialogue（对话）.

第二组
1）cathedral
n.总教堂；大教堂
2）catholic
a.天主教的n.天主教徒

第三组：
1）cause
n.原因，理由；事业
2）caution
n.小心；告诫 vt.警告
3）cautious
a.小心的，谨慎的
比较：cause原因，比较excuse,理由， Dont't give me any excuse.

第四组：
1）ceiling
n.天花板；顶逢
2）celebrate
vt.庆祝；歌颂，赞美
3）cell
n.细胞；小房间
4）cellar
n.地窑，地下室
5）cement
vt.粘结 vi.粘紧

看联系：cell(小房间）+ar=地下室。celebrate--celbration.

第五组：
1）cent
n.分
2）centigrade
a.百分度的
3）centimetre
n.公分，厘米
4）central
a.中心的；主要的
5）centre
n.中心；中枢 vt.集中
6）century
n.世纪；百年

我们来看联系：这些词汇都是名词哦，cent为分，cent+imetre这表示公

分，cent+igrade（度）就是指百分度啦。cent+ral中心是分出来的啊，centre

是有central转过来的，相关的词汇century(世纪)。

第六组：
1）certain
a.确实的；肯定的
2）certainly
ad.一定，必定；当然
3）certainty
n.必然；肯定
4）certificate
n.证书，证件，执照

certain表示肯定的，+ly构成副词，+ty 构成名词，对于cert+ificate表示确实的证明，也就是证书，证件啦，呵呵！


第五步 把重要的动词和形容词提炼出来主打的练习

1）casual
a.偶然的；随便的
例句：He was wearing casual clothes, not his school ones.
他穿着他的便服，不是他的校服。
The casual newspaper reader wouldn't like long articles on

serious subjects every day.
随便看看报纸的人不愿每天看那些有关严肃主题的长文章
2）cease
vi.&vi.&n.停止，停息
例句：At last they ceased working for lack of capital.
他们终于由于缺乏资金而停工了。
Her mother never ceases telling you about her trouble.
她妈妈从来没有停止过向你诉说她的困难。
Cease fire!
停火!
3）catch
vi.钩住；挂住；绊住
例句：The cat catches mice.
猫捉老鼠。
The police caught the released prisoner stealing a bicycle.
释放犯偷自行车时被警察当场抓住。
She threw the ball and I caught it.
她扔出了球，我接住了它。
A nail caught her skirts.
钉子钩住了她的裙子
4）certain
a.确实的；肯定的
例句：The evidence is certain and the facts are clear.
证据确凿,事实清楚。
I am certain he told me to come at two o'clock.
我肯定他告诉我两点来。
There's no certain cure for this illness at present.
现在这种病尚无确实可靠的疗法。

第六步 我们来只看句子：
He hit the ceiling at the news.
It's a certainty that American will win the war to the Iraq this time.
Our country is the centre of the east civilization.
