Whether you have a few days or a week,make the most of your time. Buy a pass on a double-decker bus to explore Paris. You can hop on and off at any of the places along its route.

Make your first stop the Eiffel Tower. Climb up partway, or take the elevators to the top for a spectacular view of the city. Move on to the Arc de Triomphe, built by Napoleon to honor the victories of the French army, but be careful. It stands in the middle of a traffic circle where 12 roads merge! It also stands at the end of the famous avenue Champs Elysées with boutiques that offer anything the rich desire. Take lots of money if you plan to shop!

Tired and hungry? Then stop at a sidewalk café for a chocolate-filled croissant and a café au lait. Or try a baguette accompanied by one of 400 French cheeses. Or consider a "prix fixe," French for a fixed-price meal which includes soup or salad, main course and dessert. Remember, in France, one never hurries through a meal!
