Federal authorities have begun deportation proceedings against 85-year-old Paul Henss suspected of being a Nazi war criminal. Officials say Henss served as a guard and trained and handled attack dogs at two notorious concentration camps. Henss admits he was an SS soldier but angrily denies being a war criminal.

No one arrested in the murder of a University of Memphis football player shot and killed Sunday. Classes were cancelled Monday and school officials say this appears to be a targeted attack. The city police later said it could have been random.

A woman in Cleveland is suspected in the bathtub drowning death of her two young daughters, age 2 and 4. She is now in custody but hasn't been charged. A man claiming to be the father says the woman called him saying the girls were at peace.

Britney Spears has been ordered to give up custody of her two young children and turn them over to ex-husband Kevin Federline by Wednesday. A Los Angeles judge gave Federline responsibility for the 1 and 2-year-olds until the court says otherwise.
