Jason: Welcome to English, baby! My name is Jason, and we are here at the Intel Corporation, about to see President Barack Obama speak. He's going to be talking about a topic that's very near and dear to our hearts, technology.

Otellini: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm pleased to introduce the President of the United States.

Obama: Thank you. Thank you so much. It's not just the winner of the Super Bowl who deserves to be celebrated, but also the winner of science fairs. And since the Packers beat my Bears, I am reserving all of my celebrating for the winners of the science fairs. They deserve applause! They deserve our applause and our praise and they make me optimistic about America's future. Basically, if we want to win the future, America has to out-build and out-innovate and out-educate and out-hustle the rest of the world. That's what we've got to do.

Jason: "Hustle," that's an interesting word. Let's hear that again.

Obama: ...out-hustle the rest of the world.

Jason: President Obama said we need to out-hustle a competition. "Hustle" means move quickly and be aggressive. It's no surprise that Obama said it, since it's commonly used in sports, and he is a sports fan. You can hustle in business, in a game or even to pick up your things and catch a train. Many people had to hustle to get the room set up for Obama's speech.

Obama: ...that's what America will prove in the months and years ahead. Thank you, guys, God bless you.

Jason: After the speech, everyone had to stay in the room until Obama left the building. No amount of hustle could get you out.

1) near and dear to our hearts

I worked with a team of people so special and so near and dear to my heart.

Your feedback and participation are very meaningful to me because they're very near and dear to my heart.

2) deserve to be celebrated

This group has already been founded which should deserve to be celebrated.

3) He is anything but lazy.
In other words,他是一个很勤快的人。

John is anything but smart.

The girl will kiss anyone but John.

4) I'm reserving all of my celebrating for...

I'm reserving all of energy for this group.

5) It's no surprise...
It's no surprise that you cannot blurt the sentence pattern "no surprise" out, since you're lack of practice.

6) It's commonly used in sports.

Cheating is commonly used in gambling.

7) win the future

I hope this group will win the future.

8) pack up your things

Pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag, and smile, smile, smile.

9) No amount of

No amount of money can satisfy me.

10) out-do

11) hustle
Hustle的英文解释是:move quickly and be aggressive,很有干劲地赶紧行动。 Someone who hustles always gives their best effort, especially when it is not easy to do so.

1. He clearly knows how to hustle(不及物动词)
2. hustle on a project(用介词on连接宾语)
3. you can hustle in business(在某个领域hustle)
4. many people had to hustle to set up the room(hustle
