Apple has denied accusations that it tracks users' locations through their iPhones. The tech giant was accused of logging the locations of its users and keeping an unencrypted log of these locations for up to one year.

The company said in a statement it is maintaining a database of Wi-Fi hotspots around users' current location. But some experts say Apple is clouding the issue, and that is not so far off from logging locations. Apple says it's planning to release a software update that would allow users to opt-out of having this data saved to the phone.
