软木，也就是用来做葡萄酒瓶塞的那种材料，是葡萄牙重要的出口物。

葡萄牙的山区每年产出约全世界一半的软木。

Cork is impermeable, buoyant, elastic, and has fire retardant properties. It is most commonly used as a wine stopper.
软木具有不渗透性、漂浮性、弹性，并具有阻燃特性。它常被用作酒塞。
