Writer：作者，作家

例句：Shakespeare is the greatest English writer that ever lived.（莎士比亚是有史以来最伟大的英国作家。）

与author同义，这两个名词皆有“作者，作家”之意。

Author泛指用自己名字或笔名发表过作品的人，不强调是否以写作为主职业。Writer 含义广泛，一般指以写作为职业的人。
