"Orphan Black" season 1 ended with Sarah discovering her daughter Kira was missing, bringing her back to exactly what we saw from her when we first met her in the pilot. On Wednesday, Aug. 21, SpoilerTV posted teases about what's coming up in the second season, and it's good news for mother and daughter.

When we caught up with the executive producers at Comic-Con, Graeme Manson explained, "We really liked putting Sarah back where we met her, which is where we'll see her in the beginning of season 2. She's on the run, she hasn't got her daughter, and she's got a pocket full of change." Meanwhile, John Fawcett teased, "A big part of the focus for our main character of Sarah is getting her daughter back, obviously, figuring out who took her, where they went, and getting her back, and Sarah's going to kick ass." Back when the season 1 finale aired, we wondered if maybe Kira had taken that bag Sarah had packed for her and left on her own rather than Mrs. S taking her, and a big question going into the second season is where Kira and Mrs. S are, whether they're together or not.

Details have already been released about one new recurring character in season 2, Cal, who first appears in episode 3 and is a "ruggedly handsome, adaptive and extremely well connected woodsman who possesses the heart of a lover." We wondered if he'd end up being someone who helped Sarah hide since she started a war with Rachel in the finale.

Sarah's hiding out at Cal's cabin with Kira, but since this information isn't for a specific episode, it's unclear how Sarah gets her daughter back and there is no information about Mrs. S. Can Cal be trusted? Well, when a policeman who is friends with Cal stops by to ask if he's seen a little girl, her mother, and a man, guilty of shoplifting, he covers for them, and later on, he kills someone to protect them and the three end up on the run. So between that and the character description, it should be no surprise that he and Sarah hook up.
